Yes. Licensed in both New Hampshire and Maine by the states’ Department of Agriculture Division of Pesticide Control. GSC Pest management technicians are certified in structural and health related pest control, mosquito and biting fly, and termites and other wood destroying insects.
What insects and pests do you control?
GSC deals with a wide variety of invasive pests, some of the most common include mice, rats, carpenter ants, pavement ants, acrobat ants, termites, cockroaches, fleas, bed bugs, paper wasps, bald faced hornets, yellowjackets, mosquitoes, ticks, flies, spiders, springtails and many more.
If you have a concern about a possible pest, give GSC a call and we begin the process by properly identifying it and proposing the best treatment options.
What does the process involve?
It starts with a thorough inspection of your property and a proper identification of pest activity. Through our Integrated Pest Management approach, we then consider strategies and make recommendations to both control and prevent future pest problems. Throughout it all, we’re careful to fully explain your options, so you can make the best decision based on your specific situation.
Will I need more than one treatment?
That depends on a lot of variables, including the pest involved, your environment, your structures, and the level of infestation. We have service agreement programs available to find long-lasting solutions that are proactive, effective, and cost-efficient.
As a general rule, the longer the problem has been going on, the longer it will take to resolve.
Are the products you use safe around children and pets?
At GSC Pest Management the safety of our customers and their families are our biggest priority. All chemicals used are EPA certified. Every pesticide goes under independent research to identify its potential risk to people and the environment. We take great care in understanding the label and best treatment practices to ensure the safest possible outcomes.
Are your services guaranteed?
Whereas the effectiveness of pest control treatments are subject to a lot of variables, our customer service is always guaranteed. If you’re not happy with the way you are treated, we offer a money-back guarantee.
How soon can I get an appointment?
When you call to set up an appointment, we will respond within 24 hours.
Do you offer contracts for commercial services?
Yes, our services are completely custom made to fit around the need of each customer and fit their specific pest control needs. Service contracts are renewed on an annual basis with a pest trend summary.
Do you offer free proposals/estimates?
Yes, following a thorough inspection and identification of active pests, our technicians will explain your best treatment options. If you choose to move forward with the treatment ,all technicians are equipped for same day treatment.
Can we request a specific day or time for service appointments based on our business?
Absolutely! Many of our customers have very stringent scheduling needs. We’re happy to accommodate them.

What chemicals do we use, and why?
We use a variety of professional-grade products depending on the pest and situation. For many routine services, one of our most used products is Talstar® P Professional Insecticide. The active ingredient in Talstar is Bifenthrin.
We use this product because it:
- Controls a wide range of pests (over 75 pests listed on the label)
- Provides long-lasting residual control (up to 3 months)
- Is not phototoxic or systemic
- Is relatively safe to use when applied correctly according to the label.
Every Product we use is licensed and approved by the EPA and must meet certain criteria to “cause no undue harm to people or the environment, when used according to label directions.” Our technicians understand the label and best practices to handle these products safely and effectively.
Do we offer green options?
At this time, we do NOT offer “Green” or “Organic” pesticide applications. We do so for the following reasons.
1- Business structure and safety
As a small pest management company, offering green or organic treatments would require a completely separate service, division, and dedicated application equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Currently, there is not enough demand or personnel to support this safely and effectively.
2- Effectiveness and longevity
Traditional (synthetic) pesticides are designed to last longer. Their chemical structure allows us to control pests with fewer applications, which reduces overall chemical use, lowers costs for customers, and minimizes the chance of misapplication.
3- Misconceptions about “green” products
The terms “green” and “organic” can be misleading. Products derived from natural sources are not automatically safer. When applied incorrectly, they can pose similar risks to people and the environment. Additionally, these products tend to break down more quickly, which means:
- More frequent applications
- Higher costs
- Increased risk of drift or off-target exposure
- due to repeated treatments
4- Our approach to safety and responsibility
We believe that using EPA-licensed synthetic products, applied correctly and only where needed, is often a safer and more responsible option than frequent applications of organic products that still carry risks if misapplied.
Why are our yard treatments more expensive?
We offer a more complete coverage with our yard (Mosq./Tick) treatments. We focus on the entire yard, not just targeting the woodline or densely shaded areas. We feel this provides a more complete coverage, especially after the hours of dusk. Our application equipment is more accurate and reduces drift by utilizing power sprayers that apply heavy droplets vs. our competitors that apply with a fog (tiny droplets). We believe it is more accurate, prevents drift, and is safer for our applicators.
Why are our barrier treatments more expensive?
GSC utilizes power spraying equipment for its perimeter applications. This provides a superior line of defense vs. our competitors. We apply a band of protection up to 3ft up the foundation, and up to 3 ft out. We also target critical points along the foundation (corners, utility openings, additions, moisture-prone areas) with dust to provide long-lasting control where it is needed most. Using this treatment method, we are able to control pest issues all season with just two applications, which means fewer disruptions to your schedule.
Why do rodent control services require multiple followup visits?
Rodent control should be viewed as a maintenance service, not a one-time treatment.
Our goal with any rodent service is to:
- Identify how rodents are entering the structure
- Seal entry points whenever possible
- Control the existing rodent population
In a perfect scenario, we would be able to locate and seal every access point during the initial visit, eliminating the need for follow-up services. Unfortunately, many homes have structural limitations that make some entry points difficult or impossible to access. Common challenges include:
- Stone foundations
- Low clearance decks or sunrooms
- Inaccessible crawlspaces
- Woodtosoil contact
Mice are capable of entering openings as small as ¼ inch—about the size of a pinky finger. Even when you know where to look, locating every opening can be like finding a needle in a haystack. To manage this, GSC uses rodent baiting and monitoring to control populations and track activity. Feeding patterns help us identify active areas and narrow down likely entry points. Once those areas are identified:
- Entry points are sealed when accessible, or
- Structural or access limitations are documented, and
- A customized treatment plan is developed based on the home’s conditions.
Some homes—depending on age, construction type, or layout—require ongoing rodent services to maintain control. Much like routine maintenance on a vehicle, continued service helps prevent problems before they escalate. For this reason, rodent control is best approached as a long-term maintenance solution, not a one-time fix.
Why is rodent control charged separately?
Rodent control is charged separately because it is a distinct service that requires its own inspection process, treatment methods, materials, and follow-up schedule. Each service we offer—whether it’s rodent control, ant control, or mosquito control addresses very different pests, treatment strategies, and follow-up procedures. Bundling these services together would make it difficult to accurately track service history, job notes, follow-up intervals, and material usage for each individual issue.
